This innovative workshop will include a beautiful blend of functional strength and mobility inquiries and practices whilst also exploring the BackMitra® and the Roll Method® which is a self-myofascial release (self-massage) body of work.

The BackMitra® a simple & ingenious prop that aids in the re-alignment of the natural curves of the spine and helps create more space, grace & ease in the body. Poor posture is a key contributor to decreased mobility, joint deformities, respiratory & cardiovascular problems.

The health of your spine also plays an essential role in your mental health. If your spine is out of alignment, it could trigger hormonal imbalances, migraines, mood changes and lowered emotions and energy, affecting how well you sleep and even how you respond to stress.

A strong and relaxed back supports a resilient and calm nervous system. Learning to slow down and rest back from the busyness of our lives, we begin to access and activate the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS). Your ability to optimally rest and digest is how we rebalance the Sympathetic Nervous System (SPNS) fight, flight or freeze state.

Alexandra is not only a certified BackMitra® practitioner and Austalia’s only BackMitra®

practitioner trainer but, she is also a certified Roll Method® practitioner and will be weaving into this workshop self-myofascial release (self-massage) principles and practices to enhance mobility, tissue health, transform pain, enhance recovery, improve circulation, and build body awareness.

All props provided, from the premium, high-quality Yoga Tune Up® Balls and BackMitra®’s.

Expect a full-body self-massage in this amazing afternoon session.

This offering holds as much of a preventative approach as it holds the potential to aid the recovery of injury.

Living too long in the SPNS mode is exhausting and depleting. One of the primary focuses in this workshop is to experience the relaxation response. From here, we become more resourceful in learning to self-regulate our minds and emotions, support the self-healing principle within the body and cultivate greater harmony across all layers of our being.
