SLOW FLOW YOGA BRISBANE
SLOW FLOW YOGA DESIGNED FOR EVERY BODY AND ALL LEVELS
With the emergence of athletic, dynamic forms of yoga in recent years, more traditional Hatha Yoga classes have become increasingly hard to find in Brisbane yoga studios, and fewer teachers are trained in this classical style.
While stronger, flowing styles of yoga such as Astanga and Vinyasa are popular with students who enjoy meditative movement, many of these classes assume some level of knowledge of yoga, and are not always suitable for complete beginners, pregnant students or students seeking a simple, more therapeutic yoga practice.
Our Slow Flow classes are a hybrid between classical Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga, focusing on mind-body connection, not progress. These classes offer simple, more accessible postures for all bodies and all levels of practitioner, incorporating mindful, flowing movement but at a slower pace.
Slow Flow classes are recommended for complete beginners, and are also popular with more experienced students seeking a less rigorous, nourishing class, or those returning to yoga after a break. Expect some foundational breath work, meditation and a long relaxation to be included, making it an ideal, holistic introduction to yoga for newcomers.

Will I Benefit From slow flow Yoga?
The benefits of yoga are multi-faceted and well documented, but it is important to find a style of yoga and an experienced teacher that meets your needs. Like many forms of exercise, even yoga can cause injury or aggravate pre-existing injuries if not approached and taught mindfully.
The benefit of Slow Flow yoga for complete beginners, pregnant students, or those returning to exercise after illness or injury, is that students of all levels can have a unique and positive experience in each pose, as we take it slow, focusing on mind-body connection, not progress. An experienced teacher will guide you to listen to your own body, move at your own pace and modify as needed.
Under the expert guidance of your SoHo Yoga teacher in Slow Flow classes you will learn to relax the body and calm the mind, start to regain strength and flexibility, improve focus and clarity of thinking, and enjoy a deeper connection to self. N.B. Always inform the yoga teacher on arrival if you are a complete beginner, pregnant, or experiencing any injury or condition that may affect your yoga practice. They will offer you extra support and modifications as required.
