We are now taking bookings for our 150 Hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training in 2025.
We are delighted to offer Restorative Yoga Teacher Training (50hrs), Yin Yoga Teacher Training (50hrs), Trauma Informed Teacher Training (35hrs) and BackMitra® Teacher Training (15hrs) in Brisbane, as a comprehensive 150hr advanced yoga teacher training, or as individual modalities for teachers or enthusiastic students wishing to take responsibility for their own healing journey.
Certified teachers may earn up to 150 continuing education contact training hours accredited by Yoga Alliance International Registry. Certified teachers RYT 200 (Foundation Level) will be eligible to upgrade to RYT 350 (Level 2 Advanced). Non-teachers will be awarded a certificate of attendance and competency in each modality.

Total fees for 150 Hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training $3,750* (SAVE $475).
Includes all 4 modules outlined above/below. Students will be required to register for all four modules and pay total deposit of $750. Balance payable by 21/2/25. Payment plans available. *Plus $100 for BackMitra® and BackMitra® Pillow (required for training).

This deeply renewing practice brings you directly in touch with the essence of your being, an internal resource that is always readily available to guide and support you. Learning to relax is at the heart of living well. During this course you will learn: The foundational restorative yoga postures, cautions, modifications and benefits for each asana; The Koshic Model from Taittiriya Upanishads that will deepen your understanding of the restorative yoga effect; How restorative yoga alleviates the effects of stress - the most prominent, underlying issue in most ailments; The innate intelligence of the central nervous system, vagal tone, and the triune brain; Conscious breath inquiries and meditation practices to support self-regulation on a mental, physiological, emotional and energetic level; Emotions & intuition inquiry within a restorative yoga session; Healing and conscientious touch to provide comfort, support, nurturing acceptance, and connection. Yin yoga combines the influences of traditional hatha yoga with Chinese Daoist practices and Western science to improve health on many levels. In this course you will learn: History & philosophy of yin yoga; Characteristics and attributes of yin yoga as distinct from restorative or more yang styles of yoga; Anatomy & physiology relative to yin yoga, the 14 skeletal segments and 10 myofascial groups; The physical and physiological benefits of yin yoga; TCM concept of Chi, meridian theory, 5 element theory and organ health; Mental and emotional benefits of yin yoga, meditative awareness and mindful attention in the practice; The asanas of yin yoga, variations, modifications and use of props; Guiding principles of a yin yoga practice, sequencing methodologies and teaching considerations. An ntroductory journey into trauma informed yoga teaching. Learn how to create and cultivate a safe container for students to reconnect with and befriend their bodies, fostering integrative healing and self-discovery. This training will provide an introduction to understanding what is trauma, depression, stress & anxiety and the impacts on overall health; the four key principles of a Trauma Sensitive Yoga class; Considerations for creating a trauma sensitive safe container; embodied yoga practices to support mental health; understanding the nervous system and how to teach regulation; yoga and body image - making classes adaptable and accessible for all bodies. Self-care, boundaries & scope of practice. Lead by Nic Sanders.
BackMitra® TEACHER TRAINING (15 hours)

During this course you will learn: History & inspiration behind the BackMitra®; Foundational lessons empowering you to teach and work with the BackMitra® safely, creatively and confidently; Key BackMitra® alignments and movement sequences; Integrative breath inquiries & practices to support working on the BackMitra®; Basic anatomy and physiology relative to working on the BackMitra® enabling greater functional mobility, strength, resilience and overall wellbeing; Cautions of BackMitra® use and modifications available; A profound understanding of the BackMitra® through your own experience.
